On Tuesday, 18 April, the Eglin Post Office will be having a ceremony to unveil a special commemorative cancellation stamp honoring the Doolittle Raid on Tokyo at the Air Force Armament Museum. The event begins at 9 a.m. with the Honor Guard posting the colors followed at 9:20 with Air Force Historian, Dr. Robert Kane, giving a speech on the raid. Following the speech, the postmaster will unveil a poster of the cancellation stamp. From 10:15 a.m. to 3 p.m., we will be selling souvenir envelopes (caches) for $5 that the customer can then have hand cancelled with the commemorative stamp.
